Tell us about yourself
We are a family that loves to travel! It simply makes us so HAPPY that we set upon a once-in-a-lifetime adventure and took our kids to travel the world for 1 year! We sold almost everything and took off to visit 23 countries with our kids at ages 5 & 7. We pinched ourselves every day on the experiences, things we did, places we visited, the food we ate and time we were able to spend with our kids.
Why do you travel?
We travel to share the world with our kids and show them how amazingly different places and people are. We also love to travel because it brings our family closer together. Spend more time together and build lifelong memories.
What’s your go-to travel hack?
I keep a backup of all my important documents accessible on my mobile phone so I can access them at any time, even without internet access! I’ve had to access this information many times in some stressful situations and has saved me so many times.
What are your top tips for travelling with families?
Be flexible with kids and go with the flow. Most important is to NOT over schedule. Choose one thing to do that day and let the rest just fall into place. Oh and always pack snacks in your daypack!
Got any gear you can’t travel without?
I can’t go anywhere without our electronic cord organizer. This keeps all our family together with phone chargers, camera cords, chargers, computer cords and more. Everything has a place so when we leave a place we know for sure if we are missing something.
How do you and your family stay safe and healthy when travelling?
Our kids have memorized our emails and phone numbers in case we ever get lost from each other. We ask them all the time what they think is the safest decision and educate them as we travel to know what to do and what not to do. Constantly learning and showing them how to be safe while travelling. We stay healthy by getting rest, drinking lots of water and washing our hands all the time! Always carry hand sanitizer.
What’s the best way to experience a destination like a local?
Walk, walk and walk some more! This is the best way to find out all the little hidden gems that only locals know about. We also don’t try to see EVERYTHING in a place, we focus on a few areas and just enjoy that area really well.

What is your favourite thing to do with your family while travelling?
My favourite thing is to take my family anywhere new. I love to take my kids anywhere new because then we are all discovering it together and learning together. The sense of adventure and unknown is so awesome to share with my kids.
When and where are you next travelling?
We are going to be exploring more of Canada this year with plans for Central America towards the end of 2021.
