I’m a filmmaker, photographer & creative director from London. My focus is on Adventure films & photography but I also partner with brands for commercial and lifestyle work.
Why do you travel and photograph your journeys?
There is no better feeling than to discover the beauties the world has to offer, with its cultures, its people, its mountains, tropical sceneries and incredible colours. But it’s the ability to capture moments in time, to make an audience dream and want to explore, that makes it all worth it a thousand times more.
What is your favourite thing or item to photograph
I love all kinds of natural beauties: From active volcanoes to powerful waterfalls, glaciers and deserts. But I have a sweet spot for those impressive mountains that have been around for millions of years.
What’s your go-to travel hack?
Never underestimate a rain cover for your backpack. It folds into a tiny piece that can be stored in your pocket. It’ll double down as a handy way to protect your gear from mud or being damaged if you need to lay it on the floor (and will obviously protect your clothes from getting soaked)
Got any gear you can’t travel without?
I travel with a hard rolling case that is shock and water proof. Helps keep things tidy, secured and will help be less stressed if you ever experience rough terrain or airport’s baggage handlers.
What destination are you eager to go back to?
I cannot wait to go back to Iceland. It is such a special place to me and a unique natural wonder.
How do you stay safe when you’re travelling?
I always keep my backpack close to me. At all times. No exceptions. It will give you peace of mind even if you have to carry extra to make it work.
Always be aware of your surroundings and think about what could be potentially risky. Don’t underestimate the power of nature, even when a place seems harmless with no sign to warn you about it.
What’s the best way to experience a destination like a local?
Don’t be afraid to chat with people and ask them about their favourite places. They’ll be more often than not happy to share and guide you and you’ll discover the little gems.
What’s your favourite word in another language?
Ratljóst – Which in Icelandic means “Enough light to find one’s way”
When and where are you next travelling?
I will be travelling to the Alps for the Christmas season, trying to capture the morning light hitting those Mountains covered in snow.
