Tell us about yourself
I got into photography ten years ago, and just a few years later I quit my job as a salesman and started my own company as a photographer. I shoot whatever people trust me to do, I seem to have a knack for it.
Why do you travel and photograph your journeys?
I like to experience new places. On the road your eyes are wide open for images, it’s almost like cheating. I think the real trick is to find images that surprise you in your own surroundings.
What is your favourite thing or item to photograph
Living things, people, animals even flowers.
What’s your go-to travel hack?
I have to admit, on my last trips my hack to keep my gear safe is to not use it. My iPhone works just fine for holiday images.
Got any gear you can’t travel without?
So my iPhone obviously.
What destination are you eager to go back to?
Bali would be nice.
How do you stay safe when you’re travelling?
Travelling is literally leaving your comfort zone. I don’t take unnecessary chances, but you have to live a little.
What’s the best way to experience a destination like a local one?
In Bali, we asked the guide to take us to his favourite restaurant, which was amazing. A communication error also made him take us to a religious festival with no other tourists and thousands of balinese worshippers. Very interesting.
What’s your favourite word in another language?
I never thought of this, in Swedish it’s ”ponera” which means to think freely about something.
When and where are you next travelling?
Next year there are a couple of concerts in Stockholm that we have booked, but nothing abroad yet.
