Why do you travel and look for adventures?
I love travelling and getting to know new places and cultures, trying to find the little details that make an experience unique and memorable
What kind of adventures do you look for when you travel?
Three types: Landmark and museums, places to be in a destination and local cuisine. My adventure is to try to see my destination like a local and get whatever has the destination for me to offer.
What’s your go-to travel hack?
My favorite tip is a Google maps nightmare: Deviate from your planned route if you can. You never know what surprise awaits just a corner away!
Oh, and carry a medium sized backpack, comes always handy
Got any gear you can’t travel without?
My mobile, my camera, some chargers, and a good travel guide
What destination are you eager to go back to?
Edinburgh, Scotland. Missed the Highlands because of a snow blizzard
How do you stay safe when you’re travelling?
Try to stay in busy streets, keep valuables close, always stay alert
What’s the best way to experience a destination like a local?
Cross check the reviews and keep an eye on the local news and events. Try to find their habits, eg what they order for breakfast, how they drink their coffee, order local beer and dishes
What’s your favourite word in another language?
I’m learning Italian these days, so, I’d go with frigorifero (fridge) which I find extremely funny for some reason
When and where are you next travelling?
Tough one… Next planned is Thessaloniki, but that’s my hometown, going there for Christmas holidays, I don’t count it 😜.
Well, Firenze, Pisa, Cinque Terre and Genova would be a great idea around easter, though I’m flirting with a idea of a photograph of me on a camel in front of the pyramids
