Tell us about yourself
30 years old from Norway. Married and working full-time as a dentist. Run a lot during my spare time, and participate in 10k and half-marathons. My big goal is hopefully to run a marathon this year. Love to travel and experience new places. When travelling we try to see as much as possible, therefore we plan most of our travels as road trips.
Why do you travel and photograph your journeys?
I like to see and experience new places. See the different cultures, try new food, and feel the history of past times. Taking pictures for keeping memories
What is your favourite thing or item to photograph?
Old historic and magnificent building. Great landscapes, nature and mountains.
What’s your go-to travel hack?
Always pay with MasterCard and use it on ATMs. We always pay for flight tickets and hotels. You have travel insurance with your MasterCard.
Got any gear you can’t travel without?
Powerbank, good shoes for long walks, running clothes so you can go for a sightseeing run in the city/village early in the morning.
What destination are you eager to go back to?
Tbilisi and the area around Georgia
How do you stay safe when you’re travelling?
Following local media before and during our stay. Read recommendations from people who have been there before. Follow Facebook groups from the area you are travelling to. Don’t flash around with luxury brands. Don’t be naive.
What’s the best way to experience a destination like a local one?
Stay away from the main tourist area. Go to a restaurant that is outside the city centre, and use TripAdvisor and Google. Both, not only one of them. Do some research before and during your travel. Avoid group tours if you can do it on your own.
What’s your favourite word in another language?
Amour.
When and where are you next travelling?
In France now. The next travel will be in England. Attending a wedding one hour outside Manchester, in the English countryside.
